Highlighting Alaska's unique culture and lifestyle-- blogger Phil Crawford with "907 Life" shares his top three things to do or explore for the month of August.

49th Supply Company: Artist Series

Local artist, Robin Farmer, is teaming up with a local clothing company for its fall line and collaborative tee, "Forget You". The image is Farmer's design of Alaska's state flower, the Forget-Me-Not.

"One of the things we love to do at 907 Life is expose and highlight talent," Crawford said. "This artist, Robin Farmer, is everything and all of it.  She is an exceptional artist, locally born and raised, and teamed up recently with our friends at the 49th Supply Company for their artist series."

Trickster Trips: Vintage VW Bus Rentals

A local business is renting 1980s Volkswagon vans for you to use for your next weekend getaway. "Trickster Trips" rent the vans with linens, bedding dish wear, coolers and local coffee.

"For some of us, even locals, who don't necessarily have an idea of what we want to do, she does an awesome job of customizing itineraries," Crawford added. "Really cool to get Instagram photos, show everybody what you're doing and really enjoy the stat that we live in."

Alaska State Fair: Concert Series

The Alaska State Fair is August 23 to September 3 and the concert series includes 10 concerts and acts. There is a wide range of big-time artists, up and coming names and classic bands.

"I was having a conversation earlier, looking at the list and you have Lindsey Stirling, Goo Goo Dolls and hip-hop artist, 'Juice Wrld'', Crawford said. "But Goo Goo Dolls, am I right? I'm getting old."
