Anchorage police are looking for the person who shot out the window of a Midtown business early Monday morning, authorities say.

Around 4:45 a.m., a caller reported a possible burglary at the Meineke Car Care Center located on 3200 Seward Highway after seeing a large hole broken out of the storefront window, according to APD spokesperson MJ Thim.

"Officers with the Patrol Division found no evidence of a burglary," Thim said Monday morning. "They did find evidence of a shooting and determined the window was broken as a result of a shooting."

No one was inside the business when it happened. No one was hurt.

Police are looking for surveillance video to figure out what happened and see who is responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police dispatch at 311 (option #1). To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP.
