A multi-law enforcement agency operation in Anchorage has concluded with more than 100 charges filed. 

Anchorage Police kicked off Operation Midnight Sun on June 18, in concert with Alaska State Troopers, the FBI, United States Marshals, the ATF, DEA, United States Postal Inspection Service, the Anchorage District and United States attorneys. 

Dozens of officers were split into teams and conducted crime suppression activities across the city, leading to multiple arrests and drug, cash and gun seizures. 

Operation Midnight Sun by the numbers:

  • Felony warrants: 34
  • Felony charges: 54 
  • Misdemeanor warrants: 18
  • Misdemeanor charges: 58
  • Heroin seized: 234.42 grams
  • Methamphetamine: 146.8 grams
  • Cocaine: 0.17 grams
  • Mushrooms: 27 grams
  • Other drugs: 11 pills
  • Stolen vehicles recovered: 9
  • Guns seized: 23 - of which seven were stolen
  • Cash seized: $43,520

APD says they also conducted another "retail detail" in which 14 people were arrested at the Fred Meyer on Debarr Road.
