Robber strikes Tudor coffee stand
KTVA originally reported the robbery took place at the 900 block of East Tudor Road. The story has been updated to the correct address 630 East Tudor Road. This includes a photo of the correct location. Additionally, we included details about the kidnapping and death of Samantha Koenig. Many of those details did not add value to the reportage of yesterday’s robbery. This article has been changed to take those details out. We apologize to the employees of Common Grounds, to Samantha’s family and to the community for any harm caused.

A robber knocked off a coffee shop Thursday afternoon.
Anchorage Police responded to the Common Ground Espresso stand at 630 East Tudor Road around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
APD spokesperson MJ Thim says the suspect jumped through the stand's window and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing on foot.
No weapon was used in the course of the robbery, Thim says, and no injuries were reported.
APD asks anyone with information about the robbery or anyone who may have caught the act on surveillance to call 311.
The coffee stand is the same location from which barista Samantha Koenig was kidnapped and killed on Feb. 1, 2012.
Federal officials subsequently arrested Israel Keyes in the case, but he committed suicide at the Anchorage Jail before he could face trial.
