Alaska State Troopers say a Klawock man who was driving drunk ran over and killed his girlfriend following an argument Tuesday night in Prince of Wales Island.

According to AST's online dispatch, just after 7 o'clock, 44-year-old George Huffine was driving a 2005 Toyota Tundra southbound on Boundary Road in Naukati with his girlfriend, 26-year-old Trinity Kriener, when the two got in an argument and Kriener jumped out of the truck.

"The two were having an argument according to Huffine when Kriener leapt from the vehicle and was subsequently ran over by the rear tires of the truck," troopers wrote.

When troopers arrived, Kriener was pronounced dead at the scene.

Huffine was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and manslaughter.

Anyone who may have seen the truck driving north of Naukati on Tuesday, and or spoken to either occupant earlier that day near the area of Red Bay or El Capitan are asked to contact the Prince of Wales State Troopers at 826-2918.
