An Anchorage woman who was reported missing after she didn't show up for work is alive and well, Alaska State Troopers say.

Tatyana Ionashku, 23, was found safe and with family around 3:45 a.m. on Thursday, according to troopers online dispatch.

"AST learned that Ionashku came upon a man camping on the Gerstle River," troopers wrote. "He gave her food and warmed her up before transporting her to her family."

An investigation revealed that in the early morning of June 30, Ionashku drove into a parked car outside a home near the intersection of Souhrada and Remmington Roads. When the owner came out to see what happened, she took her shoes off and ran away, leaving behind her purse and her car.

Troopers and volunteer searchers looked around the surrounding area but came up empty. Authorities think she may have been picked up by a passing motorist.

Family members say it's unlike Ionashku to be out of contact and miss work.
