There's no place like Nome -- especially during the Iditarod. It's the final checkpoint of the race where every musher is celebrated as they finish the 1000-mile race.

Early Wednesday morning, Norwegian musher Joar Leifseth Ulsom won his first Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. The 31-year-old Willow resident pulled under the Burled Arch in Nome at 3 a.m.
