Almost 70 mushers, their dog teams and Iditariders will take off from 4th Avenue in downtown Anchorage on Saturday, March 3.

They'll make their way east down 4th Ave. and head south on Cordova St. before again turning east onto the Chester Creek Trail towards the campus of Alaska Pacific University.

From there, the teams will head south over Tudor Rd. and make their way into Far North Bicentennial Park. (See map below)

Whether you watch from downtown or along the trail, the 11-mile run gives Anchorage residents and visitors plenty of opportunities to see the dog teams.

Many downtown streets will be blocked beginning Friday afternoon. Please check the map before heading downtown.
