A 27-year-old Kenai man will serve time in a federal prison following his conviction for possessing child pornography.

Phillip Miller pleaded guilty last September to possession of child porn - access with intent to view. Monday, Miller was sentenced to serve six years in prison, followed by a lifetime term of supervised release.

According to court documents, Miller used BitTorrent, a peer-to-peer file-sharing network, to upload images depicting child sexual exploitation. A search warrant was conducted on Miller's Kenai home, where investigators reported finding 36 images depicting images of children under the age of 12 involving bestiality, sadism and bondage.

Miller was previously adjudicated in 2005 for the sexual abuse of several children; he was a minor himself at the time.
