Anchorage Police are searching for two suspects in a Monday afternoon armed robbery in Eagle River.

Renee Oistad, APD spokesperson, says a black male and a Native female robbed the AK Sweet Cup coffee stand in the 1400 block of Muldoon Road around 1:30 Monday afternoon.

The pair reportedly fled the scene in a stolen vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The duo's stolen white truck was later found unoccupied at a Shell station in Eagle River. Oistad says the suspects then attempted to steal a car at Jalapenos restaurant but were unsuccessful.

Oistad says authorities are concerned the pair will attempt to steal another car and asks residents to not approach the suspects if you see them but rather to call 911. Further, APD advised residents to not leave unattended vehicles running.

The Native female suspect is said to be mid- to late-20s with long, dark hair with highlights; she was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and Uggs boots rolled down to reveal the fur cuff.

The Black male suspect is said to be wearing a sweatshirt with dark gray sleeves and a light gray body and a cap on his head.

APD believes the male suspect is armed with a handgun.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of these individuals, call 911 or your local law enforcement immediately.
