APD investigates possible home invasion in south Anchorage
The Anchorage Police Department is investigating a possible home invasion in south Anchorage Tuesday night.
APD says they were called just after 6 p.m. to a reported break-in at West 88th Street and Forest Village Drive. Neighbors were asked to stay inside their homes for about an hour while police investigated.
Police are still sorting out what happened and believe weapons may have been involved, police say.
“There were allegations of weapons involved and a number of people involved, so of course, that heightens our response to ensure we respond safely," APD SGT Gerard Asselin said.
Three people have been taken in for questioning. However, police wouldn't say if they were involved in the crime or were just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The incident is under investigation.
