Man wanted in armed cab driver robbery turns self in
Anchorage Police say their suspect in a July armed robbery and carjacking has turned himself in.
Jaymes Bradley, 22, surrendered himself to authorities at the Anchorage Jail just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, police said Wednesday. He had been wanted on charges of charges of robbery, assault and theft in the incident.
Just after midnight on July 25, police responded to the 3100 block of Deborah Lynn Circle after receiving reports of a cab driver being robbed.
The cab driver told police a man -- identified by police as Bradley -- flagged him over for a ride, jumped in the back seat, put a handgun to the driver's head and demanded money and the keys to the cab.
The driver handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, along with his keys and the suspect fled the vehicle and ran to a nearby silver car and drove away, APD spokesperson Renee Oistad said.
The cab driver was not hurt, according to police.
