Authorities are offering a sizable reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the Thursday burglary of a gun store in Anchorage.

The Anchorage Police Department says 36 firearms were taken from EDC Alaska Thursday morning just before 7. The business, located in the 500 block of Northern Lights Boulevard, was burglarized by two individuals.

APD described the first suspect as wearing dark sunglasses, a black hoodie with an unidentified reflective emblem or logo on the left chest, blue jeans and gray of black shoes with white trim around the bottom. The suspect is also said to have had the lower part of his face covered.

The second suspect is said to have been wearing a baseball hat and red bandana covering the lower part of his face, a black hoodie, gray sweatpants and brown ankle-high boots with white trim around the bottom.

Police say both suspects were wearing gloves during the burglary.

APD spokesman MJ Thim says the suspects fled in a dark-colored pickup truck.

The ATF and the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for the firearms industry, are each offering up to $5000 for a reward for information on this crime that leads to an arrest and conviction.
