Patrick Beall, 27, was born and raised in Oklahoma. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Environmental Science. He came to Alaska to work at a lodge in Bettles. He says he was first interested in mushing when he took care of 10 Alaskan Huskies in Bettles. He moved to Sterling to work with Mitch Seavey. He worked with Dallas Seavey, too, training dogs and getting qualified for the Iditarod. He lists his hobbies as live Bluegrass music and hiking with his dog, Umiak.
