ANCHORAGE — Police in Anchorage say a 13-year-old Anchorage girl, missing on Tuesday, has been found and is safe.

Before she was located, Jireh Tueipi (shown left) was last seen on Tuesday morning at a home near the area of Arctic Boulevard and West 36th Avenue, according to police. Police later said she was spotted at Romig Middle School at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, “but was not in any classes and has not been seen or heard from by family since.”

“We appreciate your help in looking out for the safety of our citizens,” police wrote, a sentiment reiterated by the Anchorage Police Department in a statement after the teen was found.
