The 3-year-old spent months preparing for his big debut at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City. He took the floor on Tuesday.

Riot’s owner, Stevie Collins, snapped a couple photos before the event. She says Riot didn’t take home any ribbon’s this year, but that won’t keep them from trying again in 2018.

“This is just the beginning of his campaign and he’s just going to get better and better with age,” Collins said. “I look forward to where he is going in the future.”

Collins says Riot is still ranked among the top Siberian huskies in the nation.

Collins and Riot will soon be in Anchorage at the Alaska Kennel Club Dog Show, which is coming up in March.
