Alaska Fishing Report for June 30, 2016
King fishing is fair on Ship Creek.
Lake fishing is ok, the mornings and evenings are best times to go.
Bird Creek is closed until July 13.
Halibut fishing is good and they’re getting a lot of big fish.
Rockfishing is really good.
There are not a lot of silvers yet.
King salmon fishing is good, but you have to look for them.
Remember to give other boats a lot of room.
Halibut fishing has slowed down because the boats haven’t been able to get outside.
Nick Dudiak Lagoon has plenty of kings.
Lingcod opens on Friday.
Fishing for rainbow trout and grayling along the Parks Highway streams is pretty good, although the streams will be rising when it rains.
Lake fishing for pike and trout is good, but make sure to fish the mornings, evenings and low light times.
The last day to fish for kings is Monday.
Rainbow trout fishing on the Kenai River is good, but the water is very high.
Russian River trout fishing is OK and slow for red salmon.
Lake fishing is pretty good for trout and grayling.
Halibut fishing is good, but it has slowed down.
Rockfishing is good.
Kings are good. Hunt the docks, harbor and breakwall.
