Anchorage police ask for help locating man wanted for sexual assault
Anchorage police are eliciting assistance from the public in their attempt to locate a man with an outstanding warrant related to a sexual assault.
Police also believe the man, 58-year-old Young Chul Kim aka James Kim, was involved in a 2015 felony assault.
He is described by police as a five-foot seven-inch tall Korean man, weighing around 165 pounds with black hair.
“It is believed that James Kim is still in the Anchorage area using disguises and possibly staying with members of the Korean community who may or may not be aware of the outstanding warrant,” police wrote in an online alert Friday.
Police remind citizens that it is illegal to conceal persons with an outstanding arrest warrant.
If you have any information about Kim’s whereabouts, police ask that you call 786-8900 and press “0” to speak with dispatch or visit www.Anchoragecrimestoppers.com.
