1 in jail after APD responds to reported robbery
Anchorage Police was called to a robbery in the area of 16th Avenue south of Beaver Place Wednesday evening. The reported suspect car, which was a silver Subaru, was seen driving away from the scene by the officers who responded to the incident. Officers were able to block the car, which Sgt. Victor Dragano said was flagged in their system as stolen.
Dragano said in an email after officers conducted all interviews with the people inside the car and the victim, the robbery incident was determined to be inconclusive.
Dragano said there were three people in the car. One person was remanded at the Anchorage jail. The other two people were released. The investigation is ongoing.
