It’s eyes straight ahead for the University of Alaska Anchorage ski team.

 

Budget cuts loom, and as one of four programs potentially on the chopping block in the Seawolves athletic department, the men and women skiers are keeping their focus on the trail.

 

The coaching staff is doing its best to deflect any pressures of a potentially final season away from the student athletes. Of course, the coaches have worries and responsibilities too.

 

Andrew Kastning, UAA’s associate nordic coach, sat down with Dave Goldman at KTVA to discuss the slippery slope his team is perched upon.
