Alaskans applying for PFD have an opportunity to give back to their communities
With the new year underway, Alaskans can begin applying for their 2017 Permanent Fund Dividend checks. It’s also an opportunity for giving, according to Pick.Click.Give. manager Sofia Fouquet.
“I think this is a really important time for Alaskans to remember that financial hardship is amongst us, and that includes all the causes and nonprofits that they care about,” she told Emily Carlson Monday. “So as we move forward, this is a really empowering opportunity for Alaskans to decide what causes mean the most to them, what they want to see in the community and how to shape the community around them, and make sure they’re voting with their dollars to make sure those nonprofits succeed.”
Alaska residents can fill out their PFD applications online. Once their application is complete, they will have the option to donate through Pick.Click.Give.
