In just a few days, many Alaskans will be $2,072 richer.

For those who don’t need to pay off bills, the money will likely go toward a nice vacation outside the state. This year’s Permanent Fund Dividend is the largest payout ever, when unadjusted for inflation.

Retailers and the travel industry are hoping to cash in with some tempting PFD deals. Alaska Airlines, for example, is having its biggest flight sale of the year for Alaskans:

One-way from Anchorage to Fairbanks – $77

One-way from Anchorage to Seattle – $98

One-way from Anchorage to Los Angeles – $149

One-way from Anchorage to San Francisco – $159

To take advantage of these fares, tickets must be purchased by Oct. 7.
