A fire destroyed part of a multi-family residence near West 54th Avenue and Arctic Boulevard Saturday night, according to fire officials.

The fire was reported at 10:20 p.m., and within 20 minutes, a dozen fire units got the fire under control, according to Anchorage fire dispatchers. At least one unit in the residence was damaged by the fire, but it was unclear how many.

The cause is still under investigation.

Dispatchers said no one was injured by the fire.

Fire Chief Denis Leblanc said the American Red Cross was contacted but then was no longer required by the affected residents. He wasn’t sure what accommodations they had made.

KTVA 11’s Eric Ruble contributed to this report.
