Man escapes from Fairbanks halfway house
Troopers say a man escaped from a Fairbanks halfway house Thursday night — by simply walking away.
According to a release, Northstar Center contacted the Alaska State Troopers to report that 24-year-old Byron Toovak had “walked away from the facility.”
AST’s investigation found that Byron left the facility sometime between 8:45 and 11:15 Thursday night.
Byron was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants. Anyone with information on Byron’s whereabouts is urged to contact troopers at 907-451-5100.
