After all the melting that's been taking place, yesterday snowfall was met with open arms by some Alaskans. The official snowfall readings are in from yesterday, with Anchorage getting 3.4 inches bringing our totals to 106.4" for the season. Remember our normal is only 74.5 inches. We are right on track to beating records and will defiantly see more snow before the season comes to an end.

Snow is even in the forecast for Wednesday as another system is brewing along the Southwest. Blizzard watches have already been put into place as this storm starts to make its way in tonight into tomorrow.

Anchorage will continue to see clearing as ridging builds today over the Kenai Peninsula. The high pressure will allow us to see some nice sunshine until tomorrow where that low starts to move into the Western Gulf. Rain and snow will hit Kodiak Island today, causing some windy conditions as it moves Northward.

Coastal areas of the Southcentral will be effected by this storm while Anchorage won't see snow until mid afternoon. It will be short lived snow as it will start to taper off around late Wednesday.

Enjoy your Valentine's Day with your loved ones while also enjoying 8 hours 57 minutes of pure sunshine in Anchorage. Daytime highs will fall off a few degrees in the lower 30's but it shouldn't spoil your plans.

Have a great day Alaska.
