We aren't going to get off this track of sunny weather just yet. Anchorage and most of Southcentral will enjoy another spring day in the sun. However, we have a storm that is forming and making its way onshore to the Southwest this evening.

Associated with this system is warmer air which will be greatly appreciated by most of the state. Temperatures are about to bounce back into the the lower 20s after seeing things only hitting single digits for the last two weeks. A blizzard warning for Bristol Bay is in effect from midnight to 10 a.m. Friday with 3" to 6" in accumulation and gust to 55 mph. Also a blizzard warning has been issued for the Kuskokwim Delta region today in effect from 7 p.m. until 10 a.m. Friday. 2" to 6" of accumulation along with blowing snow will be in effect tonight.

This system will bring increasing clouds throughout Southcentral, not allowing us to see as much sun for our Friday. By tomorrow evening we'll start to see the system push over into the coastal areas of Cook Inlet and even the Northeastern Prince William Sound. This storm could spill over into the Anchorage area after midnight into Saturday producing us with 1 to 2 inches in accumulation. We might get real close to beating that snowfall record this weekend.

Temperature-wise we are bouncing back folks!! Daytime highs will hit the upper 20s with overnight lows back in the 20s. By Saturday and Sunday we'll hit the lower 30s and keep on an upward trend into next week.

Enjoy one more day of pure sunshine Alaska.
