Some Push Around CloudsOther than a few lingering clouds and a left over shower or two things are looking fabulous over the Anchorage Bowl.

What clouds we are seeing will be burning off by tomorrow. That low that originated in the Bering Sea will finally be passing allowing for more sunshine and warm temperatures into the 70’s for most spots across the Southcentral Region including the Kenai Peninsula, Anchorage, and the Mat-Su Valley. However, don’t be surprised if a few low clouds form in the morning hours.
The Interior and the North Slope are both looking better than ever. Sun is making a comeback and temperatures will be topping out in the mid 70’s for Fairbanks, Fort Wainwright, and Eielson AFB. It will even be warm in Prudhoe Bay and Barrow where temperatures will rise into the low 60’s.
A well deserved break from all that lawn mowing in the Southwest today including McGrath and Aniak. After nearly a whole summer of nothing but dismal clouds and wet weather, today was finally a day with areas of sunshine!! You may get a few showers tomorrow as the next trough reaches your area on Wednesday, but hold tight…more nice weather in on the way.
Not much change along the Aleutians, and the Alaska Peninsula. Low Clouds and temperatures in the 40’s and low 50’s will continue.
Ditto for the Southeast except that you will at least have warmer temperatures into the low 60’s, but the showers will persist. |
