Winds are still an issue throughout the region and into the southeast.  We still have a HIGH WIND WARNING until midnight for the Matanuska Valley, Valdez area, and the Copper River Delta.

Gusts could reach 75 MPH.  Even though the winds should drop below warning levels overnight I wouldn't take your hands off your hat just yet.  Models are indicating a tight pressure gradient (difference between high and low pressure) from southeast Alaska into south central to possibly persist into early Saturday for those of you currently experiencing the winds.

Most of the rest of the state will be quiet with sunshine through the holiday weekend.  The exception will be down south towards Ketchikan and Annette where they could see some snow in the picture towards Friday.
