September 2012 climate numbers for Anchorage, Annette, Barrow, Bethel, Cold Bay, Fairbanks, Juneau, King Salmon, Kodiak, Kotzebue, McGrath, Nome, St. Paul, Valdez, & Yakutat. These numbers were compiled from data from the National Weather Service.

King Salmon-  for the month King Salmon had an average high of 53.4 degrees.  The normal average high for the month is 55.5 degrees.  As for snow a trace fell.  The average snowfall in September is 0.1’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) King Salmon saw 4.38’’.  The average for the month is 3.19’’.  No daily record highs or lows were recorded for the month.

Kodiak -  for the month Kodiak had an average high of 54.2 degrees.  The normal average high for the month is 55.6 degrees.  As for snow a trace fell.  The average snowfall in September is 0.0’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Kodiak saw 9.64’’.  The average for the month is 7.35’’.  No daily record highs were recorded.  Three daily record lows were recorded.  On Sept. 7th it dipped to 35 degrees, on Sept. 10th it dipped to 34 degrees, and on Sept. 29th it dipped to 27 degrees.     

Kotzebue -  for the month Kotzebue had an average high of 44.5 degrees.  The normal average high for the month is 46.7 degrees.  As for snow a trace fell.  The average snowfall in September is 0.8’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Kotzebue saw 2.04’’.  The average for the month is 1.58’’.  No daily record highs or lows were recorded.

McGrath-  for the month McGrath had an average high of 51.1 degrees.  The normal average high for the month is 53.2 degrees.  As for snow 1.6’’ fell.  The average snowfall in September is 1.5’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) McGrath saw 5.14’’.  The average for the month is 2.49’’.  A daily record high of 60 degrees was recorded on Sept. 26th.  A daily record low was recorded on Sept. 11th of 26 degrees.

Nome-  for the month Nome had an average high of 45.2 degrees.  The normal average high for the month is 48.8 degrees.  As for snow 0.3’’ fell.  The average snowfall in September is 0.6’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Nome saw 2.07’’.  The average for the month is 2.45’’.  No daily record highs or lows were recorded for the month. 

St. Paul -  for the month St. Paul had an average high of 46.6 degrees.  The normal average high for the month is 49.6 degrees.  As for snow 0.0’’ fell.  The average snowfall in September is 0.0’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) St. Paul saw 4.73’’.  The average for the month is 2.99’’.  No daily record highs were recorded.  Four daily record lows were recorded.  On Sept. 17th it dipped to 27 degrees, on Sept. 20th it dipped to 28 degrees, on Sept. 21st it dipped to 27 degrees, and on Sept. 29th it dipped to 24 degrees. 

Valdez -  for the month Valdez had an average high of 51.2 degrees.  The normal average high for the month is 53.7 degrees.  As for snow 0.0’’ fell.  The average snowfall in September is 0.5’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Valdez saw 26.15’’.  The average for the month is 9.61’’.  No daily record highs or lows were recorded.
