Normal Tonight the aurora is expected to be very active thanks to some recent solar events. The weather looks to be ideal for all but the extreme southwest and southeastern parts of Alaska for tonights aurora. http://www.gi.alaska.edu/AuroraForecast
Weather wise for the rest of the week things should remain fairly quiet in south central Alaska. That means a whole lot of sunshine the next few days. Friday though we could see a bit more cloud cover and the possibility of a few showers. Models are showing a little upper level disturbance swinging through at the end of the week. I’ll keep my eye on it and report any changes later this week. Other than Friday the next 7 days look great. Interior and western Alaska also are looking very nice for much of the rest of the week with dry conditions. In the southeast you’ll see cloud cover and some hit and miss shower activity the next few days.
