November 2012 climate numbers for Anchorage, Annette, Barrow, Bethel, Cold Bay, Fairbanks, Juneau, King Salmon, Kodiak, Kotzebue, McGrath, Nome, St. Paul, Valdez, & Yakutat.  These numbers were compiled from data from the National Weather Service.  You will notice from the numbers that the bulk of the state saw below normal temperatures and below normal precipitation.  However on the North Slope and into parts of the southeast temperatures and precipitation were above normal. 

Anchorage -  for the month Anchorage had an average high of  22.6 degrees.  The normal average high for the month is 27.8 degrees.  As for snow 3.3’’ fell.  The average snowfall in November is 13.1’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Anchorage saw 0.23’’.  The average for the month is 1.16’’.  No daily record highs or lows were recorded for the month. 

Annette -  for the month Annette had an average high of 45.7 degrees.  The normal average high for the month is 44.7 degrees.  As for snow 0.0’’ fell.  The average snowfall in November is 3.5’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Annette saw 12.40’’.  The average for the month is 12.29’’.  No daily record highs were recorded.  One daily record low was recorded.  On November 1st it dipped to 21 degrees.

Barrow -  for the month Barrow had an average high of 12.5 degrees.  The normal average high for the month is 6.3 degrees.  As for snow 14.8’’ fell.  The average snowfall in November is 5.7’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Barrow saw 0.48’’.  The average for the month is 0.21’’.  No daily record highs or lows were recorded for the month. 

Bethel -  for the month Bethel had an average high of 15.9 degrees. The normal average high for the month is 23.3 degrees.  As for snow 0.7’’ fell.  The average snowfall in November is 12.9’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Bethel saw 1.14’’.  The average for the month is 1.60’’.  No daily record highs or lows were recorded for the month.

Cold Bay-  for the month Cold Bay had an average high of 34.6 degrees.  The normal average high for the month is 39.2 degrees.  As for snow 8.0’’ fell.  The average snowfall in November is 10.2’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Cold Bay saw 4.51’’.  The average for the month is 4.98’’.  No daily record highs were recorded.  Three daily record lows were recorded.  On Nov. 4th it dipped to 22 degrees, on Nov. 6th it dipped to 17 degrees, and on Nov. 24th it dipped to 16 degrees. 

Fairbanks-  for the month Fairbanks had an average high of 0.4 degrees.  The normal average high for the month is 11.0 degrees.  As for snow 4.2’’ fell.  The average snowfall in November is 13.2’’.  As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Fairbanks saw 0.29’’.  The average for the month is 0.67’’.  No daily record highs or lows were recorded for the month.
