The first full day of summer hasn't been too bad in south central.  We've had mostly cloudy skies throughout much of the region.  The rest of the week and on into the weekend isn't looking too bad for the region as mostly to partly cloudy skies will prevail.  Temperatures will be in the 60s with a few 70 degree readings possible Friday and Sunday.  In the Interior the cloudy and damp trend looks to continue into the weekend.  Out west an upper level low is currently affecting the region bring some wet weather into the region.  This system is going to be racing northward the next 24 to 48 hours bringing quieter weather out west.  Into the southeast.  The next couple of days look to be a little wet from Juneau southward.  North of Juneau the weather should be quiet.

Overnight will be mostly cloudy with clearing towards morning.  Lows will range from 45 to 50.  Thursday we will have sunny skies in the morning with clouds building over the mountains in the afternoon and evening.  Highs will be in the mid 60s.  Friday will be partly cloudy with highs from 65 to 70.  Saturday a few more clouds will return with an isolated shower possible highs will be near 65.  Sunday partly cloudy skies will return with highs of 65 to 70.   Monday through Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with showers and highs near 60.

Alaska extremes for Wednesday.  The hot spots over the past 12 hours were Fort Yukon and Eagle where it hit 75 degrees.  The cold spot over the past 24 hours was Barrow where it dipped to 33 degrees.
