Mother Nature a Bit MoodyInstead of splashing tanning oil on your body and basking in the Alaska Sun this Saturday you may instead find yourself sporting a rain jacket. Seems Mother Nature's in the mood for "shaking" not "baking".

Wet & windy weather is making a comeback this evening, and it's expected to last most of the weekend for the South Central region.
Slightly cooler than normal temperatures will accompany the responsible culprit- a low in the Bering Sea with an attached front moving onshore over the Kenai Peninsula. Behind the front a southerly flow will persist, and unfortunately down sloping may not be enough to keep showers out of the region including over Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley.
Though rain will begin to taper off by Sunday, Mother Nature's in no hurry to cheer up and dissipate the clouds. They will linger through Sunday.
On a nicer note, the Southeast Panhandle will be looking nice as High Pressure builds over the Southern Gulf of Alaska on Saturday. That's great news for Juneau, Wrangell, and Ketchikan, but it only means that the next storm moving up from the North Pacific will be forced to move in the same pattern with yet another front approaching by Tuesday.
The remainder of of state is looking mostly cloudy with wet and windy weather for the Alaska Peninsula.
You know all those indoor projects you vowed you'd get done this summer? Well, this weekend is ideal to get them checked off your list!!
