Keep On Rolling!

The warmth and sunshine continue.

A ridge of high pressure continues to dominate a good chunk of the state. Cloud cover is on the attack across the far western coastline, and there will even be rain and a little snow falling from those clouds at times. Southeast Alaska is still dealing with some cloud cover with isolated showers too. In between, that ridge is causing sinking air which means no clouds and no rain.

That ridge isn't in much of a hurry, so there won't be a whole lot of change into the weekend. The area of precipitation will slowly eat into the western edge of that ridge as each day goes by. It should be knocking on our doorstep by Sunday...but won't quite make it to Anchorage. That means temps in the upper 50s to near 60 with partly cloudy skies through the weekend!

We could use the rainfall, but the prognosis is for continued dry conditions for the next several days, with the next shot of some rainfall coming into the picture next week.

Enjoy!
