As for snow 23.6’’ fell. The average snowfall in January is 12.6’’. As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) St. Paul saw 2.17’’. The average for the month is 1.58’’. Three daily record lows were recorded. Jan. 2nd it dipped to –1 degree. Jan. 7th it dipped to 0, and Jan. 26th it dipped to –4 degrees. No daily record highs were recorded for the month. Valdez - for the month Valdez had an average high of 22.2 degrees. The normal average high for the month is 28.3 degrees. As for snow 104.9’’ fell. The average snowfall in January is 67.6’’. As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Valdez saw 7.57’’. The average for the month is 6.58’’. A daily record low was recorded on January 27th. It dropped to –1 degrees in Valdez on this day. No daily record highs were recorded. Yakutat - for the month Yakutat had an average high of 30.2 degrees. The normal average high for the month is 34.1 degrees. As for snow 104.9’’ fell. The average snowfall in January is 31.9’’. As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Yakutat saw 10.91’’. The average for the month is 13.66’’. |
