It’s going to be rough night along the Bering Sea coast. Wind gusts of up to 100 MPH are possible. These winds will contribute to severe beach erosion in areas and some major coastal flooding. Storm surges could reach 8 feet on south and west facing coastlines. The peak of this storm will be from 9 PM Tuesday until 9 AM Wednesday. Along with the wind, waves, and flooding, snow is also going to be a major problem. Blizzard conditions will be occuring with some areas picking up as much as 18 inches of snow from this system. The wind and snow could bring visibility down to zero at times. Travel is not advised until things calm. Things should begin to quiet down a bit late in the day on Wednesday and really quiet down by Thursday. 7 Day Forecast For Anchorage Overnight will be cold with increasing cloudiness towards morning.
