February 2012 climate numbers for Anchorage, Annette, Barrow, Bethel, Cold Bay, Fairbanks, Juneau, King Salmon, Kodiak, Kotzebue, McGrath, Nome, St. Paul, Valdez, & Yakutat. These numbers were compiled from data from the National Weather Service.

Anchorage - for the month Anchorage had an average high of 30.7 degrees. The normal average high for the month is 27.7 degrees. As for snow 27.8’’ fell making it the 4th snowiest Feb. on record. The average snowfall in Feb. is 11.2’’. As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Anchorage saw 1.78’’. The average for the month is 0.74’’. No daily record lows or highs were recorded for the month.

Annette - for the month Annette had an average high of 44.3 degrees. The normal average high for the month is 42.9 degrees. As for snow 7.0’’ fell. The average snowfall in Feb. is 7.4’’. As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Annette saw 6.15’’. The average for the month is 7.31’’. No daily record highs or lows were recorded.

Barrow - for the month Barrow had an average high of –7.1 degrees. The normal average high for the month is –8.8 degrees. As for snow 6.0’’ fell. The average snowfall in Feb. is 2.7’’. As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Barrow saw 0.21’’. The average for the month is 0.07’’. No daily record lows or highs were recorded for the month.

Bethel - for the month Bethel had an average high of 22.7 degrees. The normal average high for the month is 17.9 degrees. As for snow 17.2’’ fell. The average snowfall in Feb. is 6.9’’. As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Bethel saw 1.24’’. The average for the month is 0.72’’. A daily record low of –34 degrees was recorded on Feb. 3rd. No daily record highs were recorded for the month.

Cold Bay- for the month Cold Bay had an average high of 32.8 degrees. The normal average high for the month is 33.7 degrees. As for snow 27.6’’ fell. The average snowfall in Feb. is 12.9’’. As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Cold Bay saw 6.04’’. The average for the month is 2.98’’. A daily record low of 1 degree was recorded on February 3rd. No daily record highs were recorded.

Fairbanks- for the month Fairbanks had an average high of 16.6 degrees. The normal average high for the month is 10.4 degrees. As for snow 7.5’’ fell. The average snowfall in Feb. is 8.1’’. As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Fairbanks saw 0.48’’. The average for the month is 0.42’’. No daily record lows or highs were recorded for the month.

Juneau - for the month Juneau had an average high of 39.0 degrees. The normal average high for the month is 35.4 degrees. As for snow 4.8’’ fell. The average snowfall in Feb. is 16.8’’. As for total precipitation (rain and melted snow) Juneau saw 3.10’’. The average for the month is 4.13’’. No daily record lows were recorded for the month. Daily record highs were recorded Feb. 3rd and 9th when it hit 48 degrees on both dates.
