Have you had enough sunshine for a while? Well I hope you enjoyed it because we are waving goodbye today.

Low pressure continues to move up from the North Pacific bringing more moisture to the Southwest communities and coastal areas of the the Southcentral. Along with the low will be heavy winds for higher elevations and Turnagain Arm.

Don't let this get you down, the one piece of good news is temperatures will still be in the mid to lower 30s for the next seven days, so you're still able to comfortably enjoy the great outdoors.

Throughout the Northeastern Prince William Sound, Cook Inlet and the Southwest, temperatures will remain fairly high, allowing precipitation to fall in the form of rain. Overnight lows will fall below freezing, so be aware that Thursday's morning commute could be messy. By mid-afternoon today expect heavy rain to move in, extending into tonight.

Right now there isn't any wind advisory issued, however be aware of gusts to 55-60 mph extending until Thursday morning. In the Mat-Su Valley, for the cities of Palmer and Wasilla, gusts to 45 mph should be expected throughout today.

Rain will start to move into the Southeast today, and will keep coming down for the next couple of days. The great news is temperatures are hitting the 50s throughout the Northern Panhandle and the Southern Inner Channels.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately you just can't have sunshine everyday when you live in Alaska.

Don't let the cloud coverage stop you Alaska, go enjoy it!
