Peek-A-Boo Sun

Not The Best Workweek Coming Up

Can't complain about our spectacular Friday, but there was plenty to complain about as Saturday rolled around. Chalk it up to being spoiled. Clouds and a little rainfall on the heels of 70 and sunny are tough to stomach, although we had better learn how to fast. There aren't a whole lot of prospects for a duplicate of Friday on the immediate horizon. Sorry :(

Sunday could feature a few peaks of sunshine, although I'm becoming less and less optimistic about the sun making anything more than a few brief peek-a-boo appearances. New model runs are hinting at the possibility of a few showers perhaps lingering around the southcentral region tomorrow. By Monday, a monster storm that today is well off to our west will begin to make it's presence known in the Anchorage area. Rain will be scattered about Monday and may be more than just scattered by Tuesday as an upper level low swings through.

Models want to keep moisture lingering through the end of the week too. That far out though, a lot can change. Like I said yesterday, it doesn't take much change in terms of sunshine to really spike our temperatures given how high the sun is this time of year. That being said, if I were a betting man, I'd bank on a higher liklihood of some nicer weather for the end of the week rather than the beginning. I'll keep you posted.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
