Today, expect increasing cloud cover due to a Low tracking toward the Gulf of Alaska from the Southwest bringing rain bands to the Gulf Coast. This prevailing weather will continue for the next three days. The interaction of this Low with a High off to the west coast will cause winds in the Southwest during the next two days. Temperatures all over the state will get warmer.

The Southeast will have a chance of rain showers with mostly cloudy skies with high temperatures in the 50s. The northern Interior, Barrow and Prudhoe Bay, will have mostly cloudy skies, patchy fog, and high temperatures in the teens. For Fairbanks and Denali, residents will experience mostly sunny skies and temperatures reaching into the 50s! The West will be cooler with coastal high temperatures coming in at the 20s and 30s mark with mostly cloudy skies. There will be windy conditions over the coastal area near Bethel. McGrath residents will feel a warm 50 degrees for a high. Winds will be present tomorrow in Dillingham and Unalaska with showers. Kodiak will experience showers. Anticipate mostly cloudy to cloudy skies all over the Southwest and patchy fog for the Pribilof Islands. High temperatures will range between the 20s and 40s. South Central will have mostly cloudy skies with high temperatures in the 40s to 50s. Look for isolated showers to the west of the Kenai Peninsula and straight showers for the West. The Matsu Valley will have isolated showers throughout the day, tomorrow.

In the Anchorage Bowl low temperatures will reach down into the 20s and 30s and high temperatures tomorrow will rise to the warm 40s and 50s. Mostly cloudy conditions will prevail tonight and tomorrow and will continue until Tuesday. By Tuesday, clouds will decrease and become mostly sunny on Wednesday. Thursday will exhibit increasing clouds with mostly cloudy skies for the rest of the week. Enjoy your perfect weather and partake in an amazing outside BBQ. Finally, it feels like spring and with seasonal change comes potential flooding. The majority of South Alaska will have a low to moderate potential for flooding this year.
