A little snow and warmer temperatures

The southern half of the state is going to be in a more unsettled pattern through the weekend.  We will see a warm up with rain and snow from the Aleutians into the southeast.  But north of the Alaska Range the weather will remain dry, sunny, and cold into the weekend. 

7 Day Forecast For Anchorage

Overnight we will see the snow ending by midnight with 1 to 2 inches of snow possible around town.  Temperatures will remain steady in the teens.  Thursday will be mostly cloudy with an isolated snow shower possible and highs in the low to mid 20s. 

Friday will be cloudy with snow showers and highs in the 20s.  1 to 2 inches of snow is possible.  Saturday we could see some more snow showers with highs near 30.  Sunday and Monday we could be in for a big warm up with down sloping winds possible we could see highs in the mid to upper 30s with isolated rain and snow showers possible. 

Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly cloudy and cooler with snow showers possible. 

Alaska extremes for Wednesday.  The hot spot was Dutch Harbor where it hit 46 degrees.  The cold spot was Fort Yukon where it dipped to -47.
