We will be in a little more of an unsettled weather pattern for the region through the weekend. We should see a little sunshine returning for Thursday and then clouds and showers will return for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Interior Alaska was even drier than south central last month. According to the National Weather Service in Fairbanks, Fairbanks had its third driest May on record. Fairbanks only received 0.04'' of rain last month. That made it the 3rd driest in 98 years of record keeping. I'll post some more climate numbers from around the rest of the state by the end of the week. 7 Day Forecast For Anchorage Overnight will be cloudy with a few lingering showers. Lows will range from 45 to 50. Thursday we will start the day off with clouds and then sunshine will return by the afternoon with highs in the low to mid 60s. Friday will be just the opposite. We will start the day with sunshine and then clouds will return by the afternoon and evening. We could see a few isolated showers late in the day. Highs will range from 55 to 60. Saturday will be cloudy with light rain at times. Highs will be in the mid 50s. Sunday mostly cloudy skies will prevail with an isolated shower possible. Highs will range from 55 to 60.
