The next 24 hours in south central will remain interesting. There is a continued chance for rain and snow at times in south central. I still think we will fall short of the all-time snowfall record with this system, but we should continue to get closer. We could see another 1 or 2 inches of snow in town by tomorrow. Higher amounts could fall on the Hillside. Once we get through tomorrow south central should get into a much quieter weather pattern. Over the weekend the weather will be relatively quiet in the southeast and also in the Interior. Out west though the weather will begin to get more active tomorrow evening as a big system begins to move onshore. This next system is going to bring a strong southerly moisture flow up the western coastline. By Sunday temperatures could warm up enough that we could see rain as far north as the Seward Peninsula. A ridge of high pressure over the eastern half of the state will likely keep this system from progressing eastward next week.
