Weather
A Little More AutumnOh what a beautiful start to October! No doubt you were wondering if we are really in the month of October with the start of this workweek (at least over the Anchorage Bowl and Mat-Su Valley).
Oh what a beautiful start to October! No doubt you were wondering if we are really done with the Fall season as sunshine was abundant on Monday at least over the Anchorage Bowl and Mat-Su Valley. Autumn conditions graced most of the Southcentral Region after a pretty steady rainfall on Sunday with snow along the Seward Highway. And just incase you’re longing for more nice weather… Get Ready. It’s going to be a 2fer on your Tuesday!
With the exception of a little morning fog, you’ll be happy to know that Tuesday will be a repeat of Monday. That means another rainfree day (for all those local football playoff games). Enjoy it! The nice weather will be short lived as yet another system takes aim on the region and it's promising more showers for your Wednesday. In the meantime, temperatures will remind you that it’s October as they top struggle to climb into the upper 40’s for highs.
Once again rain is likely over the Southeast Panhandle, with a little sunshine for the Interior, and a few leftover 50’s for Talkeetna.
Snow showers are sure to fall over the North Slope as daytime highs will remain below freezing. And still no let up in the typical wet and windy weather for the Alaska Peninsula from Dutch Harbor to Dillingham. |
