Well get use to clouds this week in south central.  It looks as if the clouds are here to stay and we could see occasional showers throughout the week.  This will actually be the case for much of the southern half of the state for the week.  It will remain cloudy and wet at times in both the southeast and southwest.  In the Interior afternoon showers and thunderstorms will prevail much of the week.

7 Day Forecast For Anchorage

Overnight will be mostly cloudy with showers possible.   Lows will be in the upper 40s to low 50s.  Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers possible.  Highs will be in the low to mid 60s.  Thursday and Friday will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers possible.  Highs will be in the low to mid 60s.  Saturday through the 4th of July will be mostly to partly cloudy with highs in the mid 60s.

Alaska extremes.  The hot spots over the past 12 hours were Eielson Air Force Base and Fort Wainwright where it hit 77 degrees.  The cold spot over the past 24 hours was Barrow where it dipped to 36 degrees.
