So there are quite a few activities going on in south central this weekend and most of the fun will be outdoors.  There's the Iditarod http://www.iditarod.com/ , Fur Rondy and the Running Of The Reindeer http://www.furrondy.net/ , the Alaska Ice Climbing Festival http://www.akicefest.com/ , and the Tour of Anchorage http://www.tourofanchorage.com/ .  The good news is the weather is going to be very favorable for all these events.  The sunshine is here to stay and temperatures could be in the low 30s by Sunday.  However on the Kenai Peninsula it does look like some clouds will roll in tomorrow, but the sun will return throughout the day on Sunday.  The weekend is also looking great in the Interior and western Alaska.  Unfortunately in the southeast snow, wind, and rain could be a problem on and off throughout the weekend.

7 Day Forecast For Anchorage

Overnight will be clear and cold with lows ranging from 10 below to 5 above.  Saturday a few more clouds will return with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid 20s.  Sunday through Friday will be sunny with highs near 30.

Alaska extremes for Friday.  The hot spot was Ketchikan where it hit 40 degrees.  The cold spots were Northway and Eagle where it dipped to -40.
