Hoops all-star Jeannie Hebert-Truax

ANCHORAGE - This week KTVA Sports has highlighted new inductees of the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame. On Wednesday, we looked at hoops all-star Jeannie Hebert-Truax.

The Wasilla High School head coach has three consecutive state titles. She played high school ball in Fairbanks, and while in college at the University of Miami she led the Canes to their first NCAA tourney berth.

“I pretty much lead a pretty simple life,” she said. “I have fun and just do my job and the accolades have just kind of followed me. It’s much appreciated and I want to say thanks to my mom and dad for, you know, being behind me all those years.”
