Updated at 10:31 a.m. on Saturday, June 4: Celebrity Cruises’ Infinity ship crashed into a dock at the Ketchikan Harbor Friday afternoon, according to assistant harbormaster Dan Berg. The ship was visibly damaged, as well as berth three — the dock it was pulling into.

According to Berg, the collision occurred between 2 and 2:30 p.m.

In the above footage, the ship can be seen moving in sideways to the dock, striking a set of pylons, or what Berg referred to as the “dolphin,” causing the catwalk to collapse into the water.

Celebrity Cruises couldn’t be reached for comment.

The ship’s pilot reported the incident to the U.S. Coast Guard’s Marine Safety Detachment in Ketchikan, who responded to investigate, a statement from the agency said.

“The Coast Guard is grateful no one was injured as a result of this accident,” said Lt. Dianna Robinson, command duty officer at Sector Juneau, in the statement.  “Our personnel are working to determine the cause of this accident and will work with local partners to ensure the continued safety of those using the cruise ship docks.”

No pollution was reported as a result of the incident, Coast Guard officials wrote. It was not immediately clear how much repairs to the dock or ship would cost.
