Dozens of Municipal Light and Power customers won’t have power into Wednesday evening after a tractor-trailer struck a utility pole near a Shell gas station in Mountain View.
A call about the collision near Mountain View Drive and Price Street came in shortly before 2 p.m., said Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman Dani Myren.
About 91 customers, which includes a mix of homeowners and businesses, are without power, said Ronnie Dent with ML&P.
The utility company had to de-energize the line that got stuck to make the repair, Dent said, cutting off power to customers. ML&P says it will take a few hours to repair the line and restore power.
