ANCHORAGE – By the end of the weekend the UAA Seawolves men’s hockey team will be sporting a new look — bald.

Head Coach Matt Thomas was on Daybreak Tuesday morning to talk hockey and how the team is helping fight childhood cancer by hosting a St. Baldrick’s head-shaving event.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a pediatric cancer research charity that people participate in around the globe.

The Anchorage head-shaving event is Sunday, March 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex Ice Rink. All are welcome to participate and 100 percent of proceeds go toward kids’ cancer research.
